Search, research, authority, and reporting

Use first-party performance, rank tracking, research, backlink, competitor, AI, traffic, and reporting views responsibly.

First-party search connections

Connect Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster through SEO → Integrations where enabled. Use the intended verified property. These sources can provide query and page performance such as clicks, impressions, click-through rate, or average position according to the provider.

Data can lag and can be aggregated or privacy-filtered. Compare identical date ranges and property scope.

Rank Tracker

Add a focused set of keywords tied to actual pages, markets, languages, and devices. Record the intended ranking URL. Use groups or segments when available. Rank changes can reflect location, personalization, SERP layout, provider sampling, competitor movement, and site changes; investigate a trend rather than reacting to one observation.

SERP Analysis and Index Status

Use SERP Analysis to inspect a query’s current competitive result environment and Index Status to investigate whether important URLs are discoverable or indexed according to connected evidence. Search appearance and index data can change after the report is generated.

Organic Keywords and Pages

Use Organic Keywords and Organic Pages to discover where a domain appears and which pages attract estimated or first-party search demand. Validate estimated opportunity against actual relevance, intent, conversion path, and owned analytics.

Keyword Research

Start with a customer problem, product, topic, or seed keyword. Select market and language carefully. Review intent, volume, difficulty, cost, trends, and SERP features where supplied, then save only ideas the business can answer credibly. Avoid creating near-duplicate pages for every variant.

Use Backlinks to inspect authority signals and suspicious or lost references where provider data exists. A provider’s absence does not prove a link does not exist. Investigate before outreach or disavow work.

Use Competitors to compare search visibility with sites competing in results. Search competitors are not always commercial competitors. Track a small, explainable set.

AI Visibility and Traffic Analytics

AI Visibility can help monitor how a brand or site appears in supported AI-oriented evidence. Traffic Analytics provides supported visit and performance views. Distinguish observed traffic from modeled readiness or visibility; do not claim customer acquisition from a citation without end-to-end evidence.

Reports

Use SEO → Reports to create or review supported reporting outputs. State the source, property, date range, timezone, last refresh, and whether values are measured or estimated. Lead with actions completed, evidence changed, remaining risks, and next work—not a dashboard screenshot alone.

Cost and refresh discipline

Some research or provider requests can consume usage. Reuse recent data when it still answers the question, scope the market correctly, and avoid repeated clicks while a request is processing. Check Settings → Usage where applicable.
