## Your outcome

Every active customer request or opportunity has a trustworthy record, current status, visible next step, and an accountable teammate.

## Checklist

1. Learn the workspace’s definitions for lead, person, company, deal, pipeline stage, and lifecycle in the [CRM overview](/crm/).
2. Confirm the active workspace and the views or filters your team uses.
3. Open [Inbox](/inbox/) and review unread, starred, status, search, and channel filters.
4. Open a test conversation, inspect the linked customer context, add an internal note, draft a reply, and create follow-up work without sending externally.
5. Learn the [conversation and handoff](/inbox/conversations-and-handoffs/) standard.
6. Review [deals and pipelines](/crm/deals-and-pipelines/) before moving a live deal; stage changes can trigger automation.
7. Use [Task Manager](/tasks/) for commitments that must outlive the current conversation.
8. Learn where your team reviews [reports and analytics](/platform/reports-and-analytics/).

## Daily start

* Confirm workspace, Inbox filters, and account health warnings.
* Review unread and starred threads, then overdue tasks and stale opportunities.
* Read original messages before relying on an AI summary.
* Check the customer and sender before replying.
* Use an internal note for teammate-only context.
* Verify the thread or outbox before retrying a send.

## Escalate when

Pause and involve the appropriate owner when identity is uncertain, consent or suppression is unclear, a provider is disconnected, an automation appears to be duplicating work, an AI proposal would change data you cannot verify, or a customer raises a security, privacy, legal, billing, or safety concern.
